Our Mission
To protect workers and the public from the harmful effects of radiation by providing superior radiological and radioactive waste services.
About Us
Ameriphysics was founded in 2008 by a radiation safety professional, Tom Hansen, Jr., a Certified Health Physicist with a PhD in public health and a master’s degree in health physics. In the years since its inception, Ameriphysics has grown considerably and is responsible for accomplishing or planning radiological work that is valued at more than $400 million.
Radiological projects require tangible resources such as labor and equipment that are available via Ameriphysics. As our mission statement reflects, however, the company’s principal focus has always been on offering services that protect workers and the public from the harmful effects of radiation. Consequently, Ameriphysics operates first and foremost with the values you would expect from a safety services provider.
Ameriphysics self-performs most of its projects. Moreover, its owners are radiation safety and waste management experts that are involved in the day-to-day planning, execution, and control of the company’s projects. These two features of Ameriphysics’ management approach, 1) relying primarily on in-house resources and 2) oversight and involvement at the project level by leaders in the nuclear industry, have been proven time and time again to produce successful projects, facilitate communication, and mitigate risk.
